The Best and Easiest Bleu Cheese Burgers

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  2. 4 oz bleu cheese, crumbled
  3. 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  4. 1 garlic clove, minced
  5. 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  6. Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  7. 4 hamburger buns
  8. Lettuce, tomato, and red onion slices for serving (optional)
  9. Mayonnaise, mustard, or ketchup for serving (optional)
  10. Bacon (optional)
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, bleu cheese, chopped onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Be careful not to overmix as it can make the burgers tough.

  3. Divide the mixture into four equal parts and form them into patties. Make a slight indent in the middle of each patty with your thumb to help it keep its shape during cooking.

  4. Place the patties on the preheated grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until the burgers have reached your desired level of doneness.

  5. While the burgers are cooking, you can also grill the buns if desired. Just place them cut-side-down on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted.

  6. Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the burger.

  7. Serve the burgers on the toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, and red onion slices if you like, and your choice of condiments.

Enjoy your bleu cheese burgers!
