Rosemary Garlic Brussels Sprouts with Soy Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons rosemary olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Cooking Brussels sprouts in a skillet can give them a delightful caramelized flavor.

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Clean the Brussels sprouts, trim off the stem ends, and cut them in half.
  2. Heat the Skillet: Heat the rosemary olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Cook the Brussels Sprouts: Add the Brussels sprouts to the skillet, cut side down. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Let them cook undisturbed for about 5 minutes or until the cut sides begin to brown.
  5. Stir and Continue Cooking: Stir the Brussels sprouts and continue cooking for another 8-10 minutes, or until they are tender and evenly browned. Adjust the heat as necessary to prevent burning.
  6. Add Soy Sauce: Reduce the heat to low, and pour the soy sauce over the Brussels sprouts. Stir to coat evenly and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve: Once the Brussels sprouts are glazed and tender, remove from heat. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if necessary.

Enjoy: Serve hot as a flavorful and hearty side dish.

Cooking the Brussels sprouts in a skillet like this will give them a wonderful texture, with crispy edges and a tender interior, all flavored with the aromatic garlic, rosemary, and a savory soy glaze. Enjoy your meal!
