The holidays are a magical time of year in Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach and Ormond Beach. Doorways are decorated, Christmas lights sparkle and the days are packed with fun-filled festivities!
Lately, many of us have wished to be taken back to a simpler time and that is exactly what the Port Orange Christmas Parade delivers. This old fashioned street parade promises holiday floats, marching bands, dancing squads, beauty queens and Santa, of course. Speaking of going back in time (way back, in this case!), the theme for this year’s Port Orange Parade is Jurassic Christmas.
New Smyrna’s Historic District also celebrates the holidays in style beginning November 25th with Christmas on Canal Street. This holiday event is family friendly and offers live entertainment, a tree lighting ceremony, as well as Santa’s grand entrance and workshop. The Coastal Christmas Market, where you can find holiday gifts and décor close to 100 vendors, is scheduled for the very next day. Then on December 3rd, New Smyrna Beach hosts Light Up Flagler, complete with a Christmas Cookie Challenge, a Pooch Parade and, on its heels (or paws), a regular people parade. New Smyrna’s Holiday Boat Parade December 10th should also help us sail through the holidays with plenty of cheer!
Don’t forget Ormond Beach, which offers some festive fun of its own – the Tomoka River Christmas Boat Parade which is scheduled for November 26th this year.
Plus, Perrine’s Produce in Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach and Ormond Beach offer an amazing selection of holiday treats for your own holiday events!
