12 ounces Mozzarella cheese
Fresh Basil leaves
3 whole ripe Tomatoes
2 cups Balsamic Vinegar
Olive Oil for drizzling
Salt and Freshly Ground Pepper
Slice tomatoes and Mozzarella into thick slices.
Plate your tomatoes and Mozzarella in a colorful arrangement on a platter or dish.
Place washed Basil leaves on top.
Drizzle with your favorite Olive oil.
Drizzle with a Balsamic reduction (see below for recipe).
Sprinkle with salt & pepper (if desired).
Balsamic Vinegar Reduction:
Add your Balsamic Vinegar to a saucepan and bring to a boil until the vinegar thickens and becomes a thick sauce.
Drizzle over your Caprese salad after it cools down and serve.
